The Manhattan Declaration
On 20 November 2009, the historic Manhattan Declaration was published. It is a momentous 4,700-word manifesto authored by Chuck Colson, Dr. Robert George and Dr. Timothy George, with input from many Orthodox, Catholic and evangelical leaders. The Manhattan Declaration draws a line in the sand on the three paramount issues of our time: the sanctity of human life, the sanctity of marriage as the holy and conjugal union of husband and wife, and the rights of religious liberty and conscience.

In a hearing today on "Greater Autonomy for the Nation's Capital," in November 2009, Washington, D.C., Mayor Adrian Fenty stated he does not believe citizens in his city should have the right to vote on marriage. Feminist Dogma on Marriage Debunked
For years elite opinion has maintained that women are happier in marriages that represent a union of equals and where spouses share identical responsibilities in the workplace and at home. Even as very few couples actually live this way, a study by two noted University of Virginia sociologists debunks the feminist spin, finding that women - even those who espouse egalitarian ideals - are far happier in marriages that have a traditional division of labor.

Nations Rap UN Rapporteur on "Gender-as-Social-Construct"
A host of nations lined up in October 2009 to criticize a special report on "gender-based human rights abuses in counterterrorism measures" for pushing a notion of gender as a fluid social construct and advancing a United Nations "gay rights" document known as the Yogyakarta Principles rather than focusing on the assigned task of examining the abuse of women caught up in the global "war on terror."
