Endeavour Forum Inc. NGO in special consultative status with ECOSOC of the UN
Important Upcoming Events
Federal Election 2 July 2016
Federal elections are usually significant because of differences in economic policy between the major political parties, Liberal and Labor, but the election on 2nd July 2016 is doubly significant because of divergence on social and moral issues. Opposition leader Bill Shorten has threatened to legalise homosexual "marriage" within l00 days if Labor wins government. Also imposed on Australian school children if Labor wins will be the "Safe Schools Coalition Program" which under the guise of an "anti-bullying" program seeks to impose an LGBTIQ agenda on school children, from kindergarten to high school. In contrast, the Liberal/National Party Coalition has promised a plebiscite on homosexual "marriage", and has cut funding for the Safe Schools Coalition Program. Endeavour Forum Inc. is not a party-political NGO, but because of the above issues, we recommend not voting for Labor or Green candidates.
Priority for voters should be the Life issues. Pro-life organisations will be publishing guides for voters in every state, please study these carefully and vote accordingly. We recommend supporting the minor pro-life parties: DLP, Australian Christians, Christian Democratic Party, Rise Up Australia Party, Family First, Australian Liberty Alliance, and ensuring your preferences go to the National Party if there is an NP candidate (most of whom are conservative on life and marriage ) or to the Liberals if there is no NP candidate.
Family Voice Australia has sent ten questions on issues relating to family, faith and freedom to 77 known parties and candidates contesting the 2016 federal election. In a media release FAVA says "It is hard for voters to know how to preference people whose policies they don't know," .Family Voice national research officer Ros Phillips said "We are seeking to help by publicising party and candidate views on issues which are rarely canvassed in the media." The results will be published on the FamilyVoice website before the election. The questions are: 1. Prayers in Parliament; 2. Marriage; 3. Safe Schools Coalition Program; 4. Illicit drugs; 5. Internet filtering; 6. Gambling; 7. Start Early education program (similar to 'Safe Schools'); 8. Support for families; 9. Euthanasia; 10. Freedom of speech - 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act.
For information, contact Ros Phillips, National Research
Officer, FAVA on 0405 246 288. Email rhp@fava.org.au
and also quiz your local candidates on their policies
regarding the above issues.
