God in His wisdom ordained marriage to be the joining in love of a man and a woman, to have children and to raise them in the security of a happy home. Today's society is against this concept and children suffer the consequences. We pray, Father, for the families of Australia , for a gov- ernment that will support marriage as you intended it. We ask in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
A special appeal
Please send us a donation to help with our Parallel events in New York. We incur heavy expenses with our NGO pro- life lobbying in New York. I stay in the most modestly priced hotel I can find - my room is so tiny that when I open my suitcase it blocks the door to the bathroom - but it is all in a good cause, taking the pro-life message to those who would not otherwise hear it. - Babette Francis
We commend Senator Abetz for pursuing the hoax which wiped $314 million off the value of Whitehaven Coal. Activist Jonathan Moylan triggered the plunge after releasing a hoax press release on ANZ letterhead falsely claiming the bank had withdrawn a $1.2 billion loan to the company. Moylan's hoax has been supported by some of the Green senators, including leader Christine Milne, who described the stunt as "part of a long and proud history of civil disobedience". Itisnot only wealthy entrepreneurs who invest in shares, but many Mum-and-Dad investors and retirees. Senator Abetz warned of the potential of similar stunts to undermine confidence in the Australian sharemarket.
