The Sting(s)

by Babette Francis

The Sting is a 1973 American caper film set in September 1936, involving a complicated plot by two professional grifters (played by Paul Newman and Robert Redford) to con a mob boss following the murder of a mutual friend. The Sting was hugely successful at the 46th Academy Awards, being nominated for 10 Oscars and winning seven, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay. It is a film I thoroughly enjoyed and I have often thought what fun it would be to inflict this kind of con on political opponents whom I suspected of dishonesty or financial corruption. Alas, my appearance and voice are too easily identified because of my Indian origin, so I would not be of much use as an under-cover agent in Australia. However, in the US pro-life David Daleidin and his fellow investigators from the Centre for Medical Progress (CMP) has achieved a great exposure of the barbarism of Planned Parenthood, the major provider of abortion in America, by posing as agents of a fictitious biotech company. It is probably the "sting" of the 2lst century so far.

The undercover footage CMP achieved and has released in its first video (now viewed by over 2 million) shows Planned Parenthood Federation of America's Senior Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, describing how Planned Parenthood sells the body parts of aborted unborn babies, and admitting she uses partial-birth abortions (a procedure illegal in the USA) to supply intact body parts. As head of PPFA's Medical Services department, Nucatola has overseen medical practice at all Planned Parenthood locations since 2009. She also trains new Planned Parenthood abortion doctors and performs abortions herself at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles up to 24 weeks gestation.

In CMP's first video, Planned Parenthood's Dr. Nucatola is at a business lunch with actors posing as buyers from a biotech company. She admits that Planned Parenthood charges per-specimen for baby body parts, uses partial-birth abortion procedures in order to get saleable parts, is aware of the liability for doing so and takes steps to cover it up. Dr. Nucatola also admits that Planned Parenthood charges per-specimen. The footage shows Nucatola eating salad and drinking red wine while she discusses the sale of these body parts. She describes how the heads of unborn babies killed in abortions command top dollar. The pseudo buyers ask Nucatola, "How much of a difference can that actually make, if you know kind of what's expected, or what we need?"

"It makes a huge difference," Nucatola replies. "I'd say a lot of people want liver. And for that reason, most providers will do this case under ultrasound guidance, so they’ll know where they're putting their forceps. The kind of rate-limiting step of the procedure is calvarium. Calvarium-the head-is basically the biggest part."

Nucatola explains, "We've been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, you're just kind of cognizant of where you put your graspers, you try to intentionally go above and below the thorax, so that, you know, we've been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I'm not gonna crush that part, I'm going to basically crush below, I'm gonna crush above, and I'm gonna see if I can get it all intact."

"And with the calvarium, [the head] in general, some people will actually try to change the presentation so that it's not vertex," she continues. "So if you do it starting from the breech presentation, there's dilation that happens as the case goes on, and often, the last step, you can evacuate an intact calvarium [head] at the end."

Dr. Nucatola not only makes a big salary from Planned Parenthood (about $US150,000 - $200,000) but she runs a consulting business on the side. Via that consulting firm, she made another $US207,000 in 2007, according to Internal Revenue Service records.

In CMP's second video another top Planned Parenthood official, Dr. Mary Gatter, discusses the sale of body parts of aborted babies. In what is sure to become the most-quoted line from the video, Gatter jokes that she "want[s] a Lamborghini," but she immediately says, "No," and laughs, apparently at the idea of making money off the practice. She discusses the pricing of aborted baby body parts - telling the biotech company officials that the prices for such things as a baby's liver, head or heart are negotiable. She also tells the officials that she could talk with the Planned Parenthood abortion practitioners to potentially alter the abortion procedure to kill the baby in a way that would best preserve those body parts while the unborn child is killed.

The third video released by CMP features the medical director of Planned Parenthood of Rocky Mountains (PPRM) Dr. Savita Ginde. Dr. Ginde tells the actors posing as buyers for a human biologics company that she wants to charge per "tissue sample" because that will bring in the most money. She said, "I think the per-item [pricing] works a little better, just because we can see how much we can get out of it."

In the fourth video, Dr. Ginde says that they have to train abortion doctors how to properly perform second trimester abortions if they want to obtain saleable organs for harvesting. She said, "We'd have to do a little bit of training with the providers or something to make sure that they don't crush fetal organs."

The abortionist goes on to explain that by classifying their work with organ harvesting as "research" they can get away with selling aborted babies. Ginde said, "Putting it under 'research' gives us a little bit of an overhang over the whole thing. If you have someone in a really anti state who's going to be doing this for you, they're probably going to get caught."

The sale or purchase of human fetal tissue in the USA is a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison or a fine of up to $500,000 (42 U.S.C. 289g-2). Federal law also requires that no alteration in the timing or method of abortion be done for the purposes of fetal tissue collection (42 U.S.C. 289g-1).

In another part of the video a licensed phlebotomist who used to work for a fetal tissue company explains that Planned Parenthood definitely receives compensation for body parts. Holly O'Donnell said, "For whatever we could procure, they would get a certain percentage. The main nurse was always trying to make sure we got our specimens. No one else really cared, but the main nurse did because she knew that Planned Parenthood was getting compensated."

In the fifth video, the Director of Research for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, Melissa Farrell, says, "If we alter our process, and we are able to obtain intact fetal cadavers, we can make it part of the budget that any dissections are this, and splitting the specimens into different shipments is this. It's all just a matter of line items."

This statement is concerning because it could mean Planned Parenthood is breaking the federal Born Alive Infant Protection Act to obtain fully intact "human cadavers." The Born Alive bill requires abortion facilities, hospitals and other places that do abortions to provide appropriate medical care for a baby born alive after a failed abortion or purposefully birthed to "let die."

The sixth video includes Holly O'Donnell's eyewitness narrative of the daily practice of fetal body parts harvesting in Planned Parenthood abortion clinics, describing tissue procurement
workers' coordination with abortion providers, the pressure placed on patients, and disregard for patient consent.

As a procurement tech, Holly O'Donnell's job was to identify pregnant patients matching the specifications of StemExpress customers and to harvest the fetal body parts from their abortions. She essentially says Planned Parenthood is violating federal law by not properly obtaining the consent from women who have abortions to sell their aborted baby or baby's body parts.

"It's not an option, it's a demand," StemExpress supervisors instructed O'Donnell about approaching pregnant women at Planned Parenthood for fetal tissue 'donations'. O'Donnell says the StemExpress techs working in Planned Parenthood clinics sometimes harvested fetal parts without obtaining consent from the patients: "If there was a higher gestation, and the technicians needed it, there were times when they would just take what they wanted. And these mothers don't know. And there's no way they would know."
[StemExpress has now severed its connection with Planned Parenthood]

At the time of going to print, 12 American states have responded to the Planned Parenthood videos and launched investigations into their abortion and organ harvesting business including South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Kansas, Missouri, Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, Texas and Louisiana. The district attorney in Houston Texas is also investigating after the Houston-based Planned Parenthood abortion facility was caught selling aborted babies. The US Congress has expanded its investigation into the Planned Parenthood abortion business and five states have revoked taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood's abortion business, including Alabama, New Hampshire, Louisiana, Arkansas and Utah.

The full, unedited videos have confirmed revelations that some aborted baby remains sold by Planned Parenthood go to biotech companies for the purpose of creating "humanized" mice. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood has been exposed as having sold body parts from aborted babies for as long as 15 years.

The President of CMP, David Daleiden, explained, "In a meeting with their top leadership where their leadership admitted that they sometimes get fully intact fetuses shipped to their laboratory from the abortion clinics they work with, and that could be prima facie evidence of born alive infants. And so that's why they're trying to suppress that videotape and they're very scared of it".

This information potentially means Planned Parenthood is breaking the federal Born Alive Infants Protection Act that requires abortion clinics, hospitals and other places that do abortions to provide medical care for a baby born alive after a failed abortion. In other words, Planned Parenthood could be obtaining "fully-intact" organs by performing botched late-abortions and then allowing the child to die after birth.

David Daleiden said to legislators "For the first time, all of the American public, and the whole world, is getting to see the truth about Planned Parenthood's abortion services. There is a lot more to come, there are lots more videos and between l00-200 pages of documents from Planned Parenthood and its proxies which CMP will soon release".

Asked if the videos proved profit-making from selling baby parts, he said "Oh yeah, it's pure profit." A "high volume" abortion clinic can "easily make" $US120,000 a year, he said. "They'll never admit it's for profit but if you look at how the business is sustained it's clear." Daleiden gave graphic details of late-term abortions, dismemberment and fetal tissue, including kidneys and brains, being implanted into laboratory rats. "A lot of frankly Frankenstein stuff."

Theresa Deisher who holds a Ph.D in molecular and cellular physiology from Stanford University helped to prepare Daleiden for his role as a biomedical representative, teaching him the ins and outs of the field. Whether the babies are born alive is a crucial question, according to Deisher. "In order to get good heart tissue, it has to be processed within five minutes of death. I bet the gruesome fact is that many of those babies are alive when they are harvested."

She also noted that Nucatola talks about going for the calvarium - the top of the head. "They can't get that with the head inside, so is the baby alive when they collect it?"

Well The Stings have stung, and virtually all of the Republican Presidential candidates have called for the defunding of Planned Parenthood. This is in addition to the investigations launched by several states as mentioned previously. The US Congressional Inquiry may have to subpoena Deborah Nucatola who seems a trifle reluctant about answering questions. Her Twitter account has been deleted.

I am wondering how Planned Parenthood and other abortionists who have assured women presenting for abortion - and the rest of us - that abortion just gets rid of a "clump of cells", "tissue products of conception" and other euphemisms, can now be selling hearts, livers, kidneys and the heads of the unborn?

Bishop Thomas Paprocki, Catholic bishop of Springfield, Illinois, said in a July 16 video and column in response to Planned Parenthood's exposure as a trafficker in body parts from the unborn children aborted at its facilities:
"Since the moral decadence of our 20th Century western world now rivals the decline and fall of the Roman Empire it should not surprise us that the nationwide abortion-provider Planned Parenthood has been exposed for trafficking and selling the body parts of aborted babies, I say we should not be surprised, but we still should be shocked and appalled at this moral depravity."

Bishop Paprocki also denounced the Obama administration's complicity with the nation's largest abortion provider, pointing out in his message how Barack Obama was the first sitting president to address Planned Parenthood, when in 2013 he told the abortion behemoth it had a president who was going to be there with it fighting every step of the way. "What have we heard about this expose of Planned Parenthood from the White House, which was illuminated in rainbow colors when the Supreme Court made same-sex marriage legal throughout the country? Silence, deafening silence....."

The Planned Parenthood expose is a story the US media is doing its best to ignore, as is the Australian media, with the honourable exception of Miranda Devine in the Telegraph (25/7/15) and Graham Young, editor of Online Opinion (24/7/15 and 28/7/15) but Australians read about it first in the email news from Endeavour Forum Inc on 23/7/65. Miranda Devine writes that Australian researchers also use fetal tissue "whose provenance is opaque".

At a morning tea meeting organized by my Federal MP, Kelly O'Dwyer, in June with the Hon. Scott Morrison, Minister for Social Services, I commended him for querying while he was in Opposition why the Labor Government was funding abortion overseas as part of Australian foreign aid, and asked what he was doing about this now he was in Government. He replied that "We should not be funding abortion in our foreign aid and I don't think we are".

In 2013 Australia gave International Planned Parenthood $Au6 million in unrestricted funds. The total income for IPPF that year was $US136.l million, so Australia's contribution works out at 3.447% of the total. In 2013 IPPF funded 874,868 abortions, so Australian taxpayers funded about 30,161 of these abortions. This funding was probably authorised under the previous Labor government. I have written twice to Minister Morrison asking what the current funding is, and I am awaiting his answer. Readers of the Endeavour Forum Newsletter are also encouraged to write to Minister Morrison, sending him a copy of this article and asking why we are funding International Planned Parenthood Federation in our foreign aid.
