Euthanasia advocates promise that their proposed legal changes will contain adequate safeguards, and that killing the elderly and disabled will only be resorted to in exceptional circumstances. In reality, these promised safeguards are valueless. Look at today's Netherlands and Belgium, where, to these nations' lasting shame, euthanasia is now legal for children.
Last November, Victoria passed its Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2017. June 19, 2019, is the date when doctor-prescribed suicides and extra-judicial executions of patients by doctors are scheduled to begin.
Denise Cameron, of Pro-Life Victoria, says that this year's Victorian state election, to be held on November 24, may provide an opportunity to repeal the state's assisted-dying laws before they come into effect next year.
"We appeal to all pro-lifers to campaign every day for the
next seven months before the state election to change our state
government and then repeal the Voluntary Assisted Dying Act
2017 before the killing starts on June 19, 2019," she says.
