John McCain Selects Pro-Life Champion

Sarah Palin for Vice President

Pro-lifers in the USA are delighted that  Republican nominee for President, John McCain has selected pro-life champion Sarah Palin as his pick for Vice President.  Sarah Palin,  44, is the  governor of Alaska. She   is strongly  pro-life  on both abortion and bioethics issues. She is the youngest and first female governor in the state of Alaska. The positive reaction to Mrs. Palin as McCain's running mate from pro-life groups is overwhelming.

"Senator McCain made an outstanding pick from the choices that were on the table. Sarah Palin clearly addresses the issues so many conservatives are concerned about," says Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council.

Not only is Governor Palin  strongly pro-life but she  put those pro-life views into practice. As many as 80 percent of unborn children diagnosed with Down syndrome become victims of abortion, but  Sarah Palin didn't let her child become a statistic. She gave birth to her fifth child  who had been diagnosed with Down syndrome.  She said her baby,   named Trig " is  beautiful and already adored by us.  We knew through early testing he would face special challenges, and we feel privileged that God would entrust us with this gift and allow us unspeakable joy as he entered our lives.  We have faith that every baby is created for good purpose and has potential to make this world a better place. We are truly blessed.” The Palins have  four other children.   Governor Palin has developed programs to help pregnant and parenting students with financial and other  resources.
