THE MARRIAGE AMENDMENT BILL 

7.30 pm on Thursday, 14 October  2004 at St. Joseph's Hall, 51 Stanhope St., MalvernVic. 3144.

Speakers:  The Hon. Rev. Fred Nile, Christian Democratic Party, and The Hon. Julian McGauran,  National Party.  The meeting will be chaired by Mrs. Jenny Stokes, Research Officer, Salt  Shakers and the vote of thanks will be given by Mr. Bill Muehlenberg, National Vice President,   Australian Family Association.  The Opening Prayer will be said by Mrs. Anne Lastman,  BA  (Psych), MA (Theology), Counsellor, Victims of Abortion Trauma.

Genesis   1 : 27:  "God created man in His own image -   male and  female He created them”. 

Who is man that he dares to change the wisdom of God Who created us male and female. We pray against the attacks on the institution of marriage that seek to destroy society and the  family.  we thank You, Father, for the victory in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Dr. Angela Lanfranchi, Vice-President, Breast Cancer Prevention Institute, who was our guest speaker in 2003, was one of 21 "Outstanding Women" honoured by Somerset County  Commission, New Jersey, on the Status of Women at their annual awards this year. The award recognizes women who have made significant contributions to the quality of life;  Dr.  Lanfranchi's award was in the field of medicine in recognition of her work with uninsured and  working poor women in a breast cancer screening program.  She is described as a "pioneer in  breast cancer research, as well as a surgeon, author and lecturer".  Dr. Lanfranchi challenged  the other  award recipients and the Commission to use their influence as educators, health care  workers, politicians and volunteers, to lower the risk of breast cancer by informing women of  all the risk factors for breast cancer so they could make informed choices. Dr. Lanfranchi also  received certificates of Special Congressional Recognition and Citations from 3 US  Congressmen in the district.  Dr. Lanfranchi has been appointed to a Cancer Wellness Center's  Advisory Board.
