Prayer Genesis 2 -24: Marriage is ordained by God symbolic of Christ's marriage to the Church. Prov: 18 - 22: "Whoso finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favour of the Lord". Families are the foundation of society. God's plan is to nurture children with a father and a mother. Prov: 22-6: "Train a child in the way he should go, when he is old he will not depart from it". We pray, Heavenly Father, for our families, we pray against the forces in society that seek to destroy them. We pray for the children, the victims of family break-up. We ask in Jesus' Name, Amen.
BBC A letter published in the UK Catholic Herald (12 Feb 04) has revealed that the new acting director-general of the BBC is a supporter of the world's leading abortion promoter, International Planned Parenthood. The BBC's anti-life bias has been criticised by campaigning organisations and church groups, in particular the Panorama programme 'Sex and the Holy City' which blamed the Catholic Church's pro-life teachings for suffering and death in the developing world. An open letter to the BBC from the Society for the Protection of the Unborn Child on the subject has yet to be answered..
The ABC showed “Sex & the Holy City” in Australia and rejected my assertion of bias. SBS followed by showing “Women on the Waves” about the Dutch women’s ship offering abortions just outside Polish waters. I have written asking them to film Pregnancy Support workers in Australia and elsewhere. Babette Francis
