PRAYER

Isaiah 9-6: "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor', the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace".

We pray Heavenly Father that the Government in their deliberations will seek You Who are all wisdom, that we will have wise and godly government for all.

And we ask Your blessing on our Committee: Prue Oldham, Margaret Butts, Margaret O'Brien, Denise Reeves, Daphne Hennelly, Claire McManus, Kathleen Winch, Joyce Senior, Cathly McCue, Babette and Charles Francis.

Discrimination" is not always an unacceptable concept - it can mean distinction between things that are different, for example a good wine as against a bad one. However, in thepolitically correct world of the media elites, "discrimina-tion" is hurled as an epithet against anyone who objects to homosexual "marriage". On this basis "marriage" could be extended to a man and his dog - they obviously love one another, and most dogs are more faithful than many male homosexuals. To preserve the meaning of marriage in Australia as the union of a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others, an Amendment to the Marriage Act 1961 is necessary as same-sex "marriage" is recognized in Canada, Belgium and the Netherlands. The Amendment should define "man" and "woman" in the biological sense, and not in the novel decision of the full bench of the Australian Family Court which changed the common law test for whether a person is a man or a woman to incorporate psychological factors: (Cwth.Attorney-General v Kevin and Jennifer, 2003, FamCA 1074 94, 21 Feb 2003)

SOME ENDEAVOUR FORUM ACHIEVEMENTS

As a Non-Government Organisation, we have achieved Special Consultative Status with the Economic & Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations. This enables us to attend UN Conferences as Observers, to hold workshops and to lobby official government delegations from the attending countries. We are the only activist pro-life organisation in Australia to hold such status.

We were also the first organisation in the world to put up a public billboard warning women of the increased risk of breast cancer caused by abortion. Our honorary legal adviser, Charles Francis, also achieved the first personal injury legal settlements in the world for women whose abortionists had failed to warn of the psychological trauma and increased risk of breast cancer caused by abortion.
